While raging in northern New York state for the video shoots this weekend, BRUTAL TRUTH have also confirmed a Sunday evening slaughterfest in Williamsville with several local acts. Full info can be found here.

Additionally, BRUTAL TRUTH have been named in the latest wave of acts confirmed to storm the annual French outing Hellfest, the three-day binge going down in Clisson, France June 15th through the 17th. On this massive outing the New York grinders will throw down their reefer-ripping blastbeats alongside Hatebreed, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Machine Head, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth and dozens more, in addition to fest headliners Black Sabbath. While their latest album End Time was and still is being featured on the Best of 2011 lists for Decibel, Exclaim, MetalSucks, Metal Injection and countless other publications internationally, BRUTAL TRUTH have confirmed that they are already recording several brand new tracks for an unspecified forthcoming release. All we know is that it was referred to by the band as a “bizarre freakout,” so we are stoked.

EVERYTHING WENT BLACK play a concise, sophisticated brand of fast and heavy aggressive music drawing influence from the likes of The Hope Conspiracy, Black Flag and Entombed, while still maintaining a sound that is very much so their own. Since the band’s formation in the spring of 2009, the band self released an EP, a 7″ on Hands Up! Records, and a split with Louisville, KY hardcore outfit Rattletooth on St. Louis based label I Hate Punk Rock Records.

The clip was filmed with renowned Swedish director Jonas Akerlund, who has previously worked with METALLICA, SATYRICON, OZZY OSBOURNE, MADONNA and THE PRODIGY, among others. The song will also be released as a single pack on November 14th, 2011 along with three other songs, a previously unreleased song, “Vergiss Uns Nicht”, as well as remixes from BossHoss and Mogwai, but also, the “Mein Land” video and a digital booklet.

Trivium seem to have a reputation in the metal community as an up and coming band despite the fact that the Florida thrashers have been around for over a decade and toured with Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer and the like.  Their latest release, In Waves, finds the band going back to their roots.  The overall sound is more atmospheric, but the attitude and melody is reminiscent of their earlier work.

“The Great Execution,” produced once again by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio, is the band’s 8th studio album.
