Arcania is a thrash metal band from Angers, France. They play a mix of thrash & death metal with a touch of omnipresent groove. Arcania’s live and recorded sound is an aural experience which is both unique and remarkable, as well as unmistakable at the first note. Their influences can be heard, from early Metallica, to Pantera style groove, as well as dark and dazed Machine Head-like parts.

Arcania’s line-up has remained unchanged since 2010 and has played hundreds of live shows with the same intensity, power and energy. Some highlights include performances with scene giants over the last decade like Exodus, Gojira, Crowbar, Testament, Soilwork and Hatesphere and many others.

Their first album, Sweet Angel Dust, was recorded at The Dome Studio in France. It was released in 2010 on Great Dane Records.

In 2014, Arcania released their second album Dreams Are Dead, full of savage, killing
    riffs with thoughtful musicality.

Arcania recently returned to work with their long-time friends at The Dome Studio to record their third album Lost Generation, scheduled for release September 24, 2024. The video for the first single “What Will Remain” is out now. Watch here:
