PROPHETS OF RAGE, the supergroup featuring members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, PUBLIC ENEMY and CYPRESS HILL, has released a new single called “Made With Hate”.
In addition to bassist Tim Commerford, drummer Brad Wilk and guitarist Tom Morello, who all played together in RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and AUDIOSLAVE, the band features PUBLIC ENEMY‘s Chuck D and DJ Lord along with CYPRESS HILL‘s B-Real.
Last July, PROPHETS OF RAGE released a new song called “Heart Afire”. The track came just a few days after Commerford and Wilk revealed in an interview with Finland’s Kaaos TV that the band had already finished its second album.
Morello told The Pulse Of Radio that PROPHETS OF RAGE started as one thing and took off in a way no one anticipated. “In PROPHETS OF RAGE, there’s both a fury and a joyfulness,” he said. “Like, this band started as an idea that responded to an emergency, a societal emergency, and it became a band that — it became a real band.”
Commerford said about the new LP’s sound: “It’s a different direction, it’s not the same, and I love that… We’re growing and we’re creating and we’re going in a new territory and I feel really good about it.”
