Finnish folk metal icons ENSIFERUM have unveiled their latest video for “The Howl,” taken from their powerful new album Winter Storm, out now on Metal Blade Records. The album, crafted largely during the COVID lockdown, showcases a fresh and dynamic sound with Markus Toivonen composing nearly all the material. Adding to the grandiosity of the album, bassist Sami Hinkka contributed the rousing anthem “Fatherland.”
Pekka Montin’s soaring vocals, which made a strong impact on 2020’s Thalassic, reach new heights on Winter Storm. With a fantasy-driven narrative penned by Hinkka, Montin solidifies his place as one of the finest vocalists in modern metal.
And now, metal fans across the U.S. will get to experience ENSIFERUM’s battle-ready anthems live as they co-headline the Folkfest Of The North tour alongside Finnish folk-metal legends KORPIKLAANI! Supported by Trollfest and Ninj, this massive tour is set to conquer North America in early 2025.
