Glen Helen Amphitheater

Glen Helen Amphitheater

Glen Helen Amphitheater is a huge outdoor bowl in Glen Helen Regional Park, in the Devore area of San Bernardino at the foot of the Cajon Pass. Live Nation runs it on county land, and it opened in 1993 as Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion. It’s been a Southern California home for heavy festival tours, including 14 Ozzfest dates from 1996 through 2017 (bills with Slayer, Pantera, Korn and System of a Down) and the joint Ozzfest meets Knotfest shows, plus Mayhem Festival and Gigantour.

Expect reserved seating up front and a massive lawn behind it, with room for up to 65,000. Heavy bills are occasional, not weekly, and most events are all ages. Leave the battle vest at home: the venue bans cuts, club colors, patches, chains, spikes and flags, plus outside chairs. Traffic on I-15 gets ugly, so arrive when the lots open.
