The Dillinger Escape Plan are reissuing their original 1997 self-titled EP with a new 2026 remaster. A limited translucent purple cassette is on sale at the band’s remaining U.S. shows. A further limited batch goes on sale online Nov. 13, when the remastered audio also reaches streaming services.
“For the first time in a long time our very original EP is available, that until now was only able to be heard if you knew how to find it,” the band said.
The Dillinger Escape Plan’s First EP
According to NextMosh, the EP was recorded in April 1997, two years before the 1999 debut album Calculating Infinity. Lambgoat notes it was re-released by Now or Never Records and last reissued by Earache Records in 2007. The original six tracks are “Proceed with Caution,” “I Love Secret Agents,” “Monticello,” “Cleopatra’s Sling,” “Caffeine” and “Three for Flinching (Revenge of the Porno Clowns).” Lambgoat also lists three reissue bonus tracks: “Sugar Coated Sour,” “Abe the Cop (live)” and “The Running Board.” It isn’t clear whether the new cassette includes them.
The label, the price and the size of the run haven’t been announced.
