About Para Bellum
The title Para Bellum is derived from the Latin phrase “Si vis pacem, para bellum” which translates to “If you want peace, prepare for war.” By choosing this name, TESTAMENT underline the album’s central theme—facing chaos head-on in an era where technology, conflict, and human disconnection collide.
For TESTAMENT, Para Bellum isn’t just a clever phrase, it’s a reflection of the band’s own journey: decades of battling trends, industry shifts, and the changing face of metal itself. Much like the Latin proverb suggests, their music prepares listeners for the fight, delivering riffs as weapons and lyrics as warnings. This warlike spirit is woven throughout the album’s artwork and sound, making Testament Para Bellum both a statement of survival and a call to arms for thrash metal fans worldwide.
