The As I Lay Dying San Diego homecoming is set. The band’s 2027 U.S. headlining tour with Immortal Disfigurement ends Sunday, March 7, 2027, at The Observatory North Park, the last of 26 dates on a run that starts Feb. 4 in Indianapolis, per Metal Nerd.
The As I Lay Dying San Diego date also lines up with a new record. As I Lay Dying, the band’s self-titled album, is due Feb. 5, 2027, on Napalm Records. The tour starts the day before it comes out.
As I Lay Dying San Diego show details
- Date: Sunday, March 7, 2027
- Venue: The Observatory North Park, 2891 University Ave.
- Support: Immortal Disfigurement
- Doors: 7 p.m., per Songkick. The Bandsintown event page has been reported to list doors at 7 and the show at 8, but it wouldn’t load for us, so confirm the start time with the venue.
- Tickets: On sale since Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. local time. Face-value prices weren’t in the announcement, and the listings we found were resale, so we’re not printing a number.
For anyone still shopping for As I Lay Dying San Diego tickets, presales are long done. They ran the week of the announcement. Per Metal Nerd, the artist and Bandsintown presale opened Sept. 16 at noon Central with the password POLARIZED, the promoter presale followed Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. local with the password AILD, and general sale started Sept. 18.
The As I Lay Dying San Diego date isn’t the only Southern California stop. The band plays the Whisky in Los Angeles on Friday, March 5, and Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, March 6, before the San Diego closer. That’s three nights in a row in the region if you’re the traveling type.
Polarized and Retribution
The band premiered two songs from the new record, “Polarized” and “Retribution,” on Sept. 15, the same day the tour was announced. They’re the first look at the self-titled album. Metal Nerd’s post has the pre-order options through Napalm.
The As I Lay Dying San Diego show is the first local chance to hear the new songs live on this run, since the tour doesn’t pass through town before March 7. No setlist has been announced.

Background
As I Lay Dying formed in San Diego in 2000. The band went on hiatus in 2014 after frontman Tim Lambesis was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison for soliciting the murder of his estranged wife, and reunited in 2018 with a comeback show at SOMA, according to Wikipedia’s band history. The lineup has changed several times since.
Support act Immortal Disfigurement is fronted by CJ McCreery, formerly of Lorna Shore. The Mosh reports that McCreery left Lorna Shore in 2019 following allegations made against him by several women, which he has publicly denied.
Former As I Lay Dying drummer Jordan Mancino co-owned Brick by Brick, which closed in August; we covered that in our Brick by Brick closing story. For another recent North Park booking, see our DragonForce at the Observatory preview.
The album arrives in February. The As I Lay Dying San Diego closer comes a month later.
