Prong New Commission is out now. The New York band released “New Commission” on Nov. 3 as the latest single from its self-titled album, Prong, which arrives Friday, Nov. 6, through Napalm Records. Napalm posted the song as an official static video on YouTube.
Tommy Victor on Prong New Commission
Frontman Tommy Victor described the song in the announcement, as reported by Blabbermouth: “This is a barn burner, banger thrasher of a song with a huge hook and a ferocious breakdown. It’s got it all!”
Prong New Commission is the second track on the album. It follows earlier singles “The Banner” and “Fear The Sun,” both also posted by Napalm Records on YouTube.
Prong Self-Titled Album Details
The album has 11 tracks on the standard edition. Andy Sneap mixed and mastered it at Backstage Studios. The CD adds two bonus tracks, “Out Of Body” and “Cruel Summer,” the latter a cover of the Bananarama song.
Victor said earlier about the record: “This could be the best Prong album to date. It’s definitely the best-sounding Prong album ever, with the incredible Andy Sneap mixing and mastering it! This record represents a new lease on life for Prong with a new label, a fresh attitude with faster and heavier songs, bigger hooks and top-notch sound quality. That’s why it’s self-titled; it’s a redefining episode for Prong!”
