Venue
McGuffie’s Live is one of the busiest heavy rooms in San Diego right now: a full-service bar and stage out on Navajo Road that keeps local and touring metal on the calendar week after week. The bills run the spectrum, with nights stacked with bands like Echo Spine, COATL, Seventhvyle, Fantom Fire and Darker Shade of Black, touring packages featuring Summoner’s Circle and Gravewitch, and heavy showcases such as KBE Project’s Infect Heavy with Insolence.
It’s a working-musician’s venue as much as a show room. Beyond ticketed gigs, McGuffie’s hosts a Monday rock/metal open jam, so it’s a place where local players actually cut their teeth. Open seven days a week from noon until 2 a.m., it’s an easy East County–side stop for anyone who wants loud music without heading downtown.
