The Imperial Triumphant Metal Blade deal is done. Metal Blade Records announced on Nov. 4 that it has signed the New York City avant-garde extreme metal band, and the group has already finished tracking its label debut.
Imperial Triumphant Metal Blade Statement
In the announcement, carried by BraveWords, the band said: “Imperial Triumphant is pleased to announce a new covenant with the illustrious Metal Blade Records. We consider Metal Blade the top floor of the recording label tower and the view from up here is quite nice. New music is flowing and fans can expect fresh decadence from Imperial Triumphant sooner than later.”
To mark the deal, artist Noah Cutter Meihoff designed a limited-edition shirt that mashes up the classic Metal Blade axe logo with the band’s trademark mask.
New Album in the Works
Imperial Triumphant recently completed tracking their Metal Blade debut with longtime collaborator Colin Marston, who is recording and mixing it. No title, release date or first single has been announced. The label says more details will be unveiled in the months to come.
The new record follows Vile Luxury (2018), Alphaville (2020), Spirit Of Ecstasy (2022) and Goldstar (2025). Metal Blade also released Cirith Ungol’s comeback albums, as noted in our Cirith Ungol story.
European and UK Tour With Knoll
In 2026 the band toured the U.S. with Between The Buried And Me, sharing much of the run with Fallujah, after a Latin American tour with Cynic. Next up is a 21-date European and UK tour with Knoll. Tickets are on sale through the band website. No U.S. or San Diego dates have been announced.
