Cirith Ungol All The Shadows Out Now: Ventura Legends Release 7th Album on No Remorse Records

Cirith Ungol All The Shadows is out today, Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, and the Ventura heavy metal legends have marked it as their seventh full-length album. No Remorse Records is releasing the eight-song record on vinyl, CD, cassette in a box set, and digital, with fantasy painter Michael Whelan once again supplying the cover. For Southern California fans, the album’s live debut is close by: the band’s rescheduled release show is set for Feb. 26, 2027, at the Echoplex in Los Angeles.

The album arrives two years after Cirith Ungol announced it would play its final shows in 2024. As the label puts it, “two years later, the beast could not rest and the fire still burns.”

Cirith Ungol All The Shadows: Release Details

No Remorse Records announced Cirith Ungol All The Shadows on Sept. 4, 2026, alongside the title track as the first single and lyric video. Pre-orders opened at the same time through the label’s store, which lists several limited formats. Among them are a hand-numbered deluxe box set limited to 200 copies, with a 3D cover, gold vinyl, CD, tape, autographed photo and poster, and a hand-numbered liquid-filled red-black “skeletons” vinyl limited to 100 copies.

According to the label, Cirith Ungol All The Shadows was recorded at The Captains Quarters in Ventura, California. Guitarist Armand John Anthony engineered, mixed and mastered the album, and he co-produced it with the band. Bassist Jarvis Leatherby served as executive producer.

The band’s Bandcamp page lists the release date as Oct. 30, 2026, and calls the record “the 7th studio album from epic heavy doom legends.” The title track runs 3:45 there.

The Cirith Ungol Lineup on All The Shadows

The label credits four musicians on Cirith Ungol All The Shadows:

  • Tim Baker: vocals, background vocals
  • Armand John Anthony: guitars, background vocals
  • Jarvis Leatherby: bass, background vocals
  • Robert Garven: drums and percussion, background vocals

Baker and Garven are the band’s longtime core. Leatherby, who is also in fellow Ventura metal band Night Demon, organized the Frost and Fire festival in Ventura and named it after Cirith Ungol’s 1981 debut album. In a 2018 interview with the Ventura County Star, Garven credited that festival with getting the band back together. Anthony, also of Night Demon, is the newest name in the credits. Angry Metal Guy’s review notes that All The Shadows is the band’s first album without founding guitarist Greg Lindstrom or longtime guitarist Jim Barraza.

Garven introduced the title track in comments published by Metal Invader: “This song is a crushing opening to the album, forged by the Masters of the Pit!”

From Frost And Fire to All The Shadows

Cirith Ungol formed in Ventura in the early 1970s. The band’s first four albums, Frost And Fire (1981), King Of The Dead (1984), One Foot In Hell (1986) and Paradise Lost (1991), built the cult following the label describes as “epic, apocalyptic and doom-filled.” The group disbanded the year after Paradise Lost.

After reuniting in 2015, Cirith Ungol released Forever Black on Metal Blade Records on April 24, 2020, followed by Dark Parade on Oct. 20, 2023, also on Metal Blade. The Dark Parade release show at The Roxy in West Hollywood was filmed and recorded, and the Live At The Roxy album followed in 2025. That makes Cirith Ungol All The Shadows the band’s first new studio album since Dark Parade, and its first on No Remorse Records.

The 2024 farewell run included shows billed as the band’s final U.K. and Denmark dates. Cirith Ungol All The Shadows now turns that farewell into a new chapter instead of a closing one.

Cirith Ungol All The Shadows Release Show Moves to Feb. 26

The album was originally set to be celebrated with a release show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on Oct. 30, release day itself, with doom band Early Moods. On Oct. 7, the band posted that “due to an unexpected health situation,” the show had been rescheduled. “This is especially crushing given that this show was to be the release party for our new studio album ‘All the Shadows,'” the statement said.

The new date is Friday, Feb. 26, 2027, and Visigoth has been added to the bill. Live Nation lists the show at the Echoplex at 7 p.m. The band said original tickets will be honored for the new date, and fans who can’t attend can get a refund from their point of purchase. No San Diego date has been announced, so the Echoplex show is the closest one for local fans for now. It joins a growing list of 2027 shows San Diego fans will have to travel for.

Ventura’s heavy metal history keeps showing up in San Diego coverage, too. Bay Area thrashers Blind Illusion played The Sane Asylum in full at Frost and Fire V in Ventura, as covered in our Blind Illusion Stage Flight story.
