Slash Flying Blind is the fifth Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators album, due Feb. 26, 2027, on Gibson Records. The title track’s official lyric video arrived Nov. 4, and the Flying Blind World Tour brings the band to Del Mar’s The Sound on April 29, 2027. The full announcement is on SlashOnline.
Slash Flying Blind Album Details
The 12-track record was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette and recorded largely live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida. The official release says the band finished the bulk of it in about a week, often tracking two songs a day in the same room. The lineup is Slash (guitar and pedal steel), Myles Kennedy (vocals), Todd Kerns (bass), Brent Fitz (drums) and Frank Sidoris (rhythm guitar).
“It’s a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ‘n’ roll record,” Slash said in the official announcement. “It’s very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.”
Slash said the title track started in pre-production when a riff came to him as the band prepared to rehearse. “I had nothing of that song prior to those guys coming in, and then we started up a night of rehearsal and played that riff. It came together really quickly,” he said. Kennedy added that the lyric is about people taking shortcuts in search of happiness or enlightenment.
The title track first arrived Oct. 2 with an official video shot at The Viper Room and directed by John Harvatine IV. Blabbermouth covered the Nov. 4 lyric video. Slash Flying Blind is the band’s first full-length studio album since 2022’s 4.
