Iron Maiden Chula Vista fans, mark your calendars now. Live Nation has announced a surprise third and final North American leg of the band’s 50th-anniversary Run For Your Lives tour, and the spring 2027 routing includes a stop at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre on Thursday, April 22, 2027. The 16-show run opens April 14 at the Tacoma Dome and wraps May 16 at Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, as first reported by Blabbermouth.
For San Diego, the Iron Maiden Chula Vista date means Eddie and the full production are headed back to South Bay barely a few years after the band opened The Future Past Tour at the same amphitheatre in October 2024. Why Iron Maiden Chula Vista Is Back on the Map in 2027
This leg, and the Iron Maiden Chula Vista stop with it, was not supposed to happen. Bassist Steve Harris said in the announcement that the band had been planning to take a break from live performances in 2027, but enjoyed the most recent North American run so much that they decided to take the show to regions they missed, particularly the Northwest and Southeast.
“It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years,” Harris said. “We can’t get everywhere but we can try!”
Manager Rod Smallwood called the first leg “terrific,” pointing to sell-out crowds spanning multiple generations and the band’s first U.S. stadium headline shows. According to the announcement, these will definitely be the last Run For Your Lives dates, and by the end the tour will have played 107 shows to well over three million fans in 36 countries. Smallwood also said Eddie’s Dive Bars will be coming along for the ride.
Southern California picks up a generous share of the routing. The Iron Maiden Chula Vista show sits between Wheatland on April 20 and San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheater on April 24, followed by Phoenix on April 26. If you can’t make the Thursday night in Chula Vista, Glen Helen is the closest backup.
An All-British Bill: Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age
Special guests on the tour are Welsh metallers Bullet for My Valentine, who recently announced their new album Social Apocalypse, due March 19, 2027. The announcement says these will be the band’s first North American shows since their co-headline tour with Trivium. Opening the bill is The Raven Age, who recently supported Maiden on several South and Central American dates.
According to the announcement, Maiden has not chosen a three-band all-British bill since 1983, framing the lineup as a return to the band’s roots for this final celebration of their early years.
One caveat: the announcement lists Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age as special guests “on the tour” but does not break the support acts down date by date. The two festival closers will clearly have their own lineups. We have not seen confirmation that both bands are on the Iron Maiden Chula Vista date specifically, so check the venue or Ticketmaster listing before you plan your arrival around an opener.

Iron Maiden Chula Vista tickets start with an artist presale on Monday, October 19 at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales run through the week ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, October 23 at 10 a.m. local time. Festival tickets for Sonic Temple and Boardwalk Rock are handled through each festival’s own website.
Ticket prices for the Iron Maiden Chula Vista show have not been announced, and neither have set times or door times. We’ll update when the venue posts them.
